Because telephone and video interpreting is a growing field worldwide, INDI Languages Network is serving a rapidly increasing number of members looking for opportunities to practice their interpreting skills, while encouraging networking, training and collaboration.

We welcome everyone to join who has an interest in the field of video and telephone interpretation. Linguists, interpreters, translators and docents are working with members of the medical, legal, government and financial communities, enabling the communication which is a crucial component for any service provider in the pursuit of excellence.

Founded in 2009, INDI’s mission to promote the use of video and telephone interpreters to aid the community with limited English proficiency (LEP) is successfully being pursued in a variety of ways, and by offering various benefits and services. These currently include the promotion of video interpreting services via e-mail, the consistent screening of candidates, the planning and organization of online workshops, interpretive skills training, and publishing.

A growing number of members are offering their services as volunteers to support the association. Our members are INDIA’s real assets, colleagues helping colleagues to grow in their knowledge, competencies and enthusiasm.

If your work involves video and/or telephone interpretation, we hope you will join us. We have a variety of membership options for individuals and organizations. You will find our network of dedicated interpretive professionals very helpful and caring. Through time we will work, learn and laugh together, and the process is enriching to everyone we come in contact with.
